ElevatorIQ collects only what it needs to put you on the waitlist, let you into the beta when a slot opens, and understand how the product is used once you're in. This page tells you exactly what that is, who handles it on our behalf, and how to get it deleted.
What we collect
When you sign up for the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address.
- A hashed fingerprint of your IP address. We run your IP through a one-way hash with a private salt, store the hash, and discard the original IP. The hash lets us spot abuse without keeping anything that identifies you personally.
- A timestamp of when you signed up.
- A timestamp of when you confirmed your email.
That's it. We don't ask for your name, company, role, or phone number until you're actually in the beta.
When you use the product
Once you're in the beta, we record what you do in ElevatorIQ, so we can see which parts of it get used and which parts break. We record:
- Signing in.
- Uploading a document.
- Starting an analysis, finishing one, and opening the result.
- Creating or editing a building, unit, contract, vendor, or repair proposal.
- Posting a request on the feedback board, and upvoting one.
- Which parts of the product you open.
Each usage record carries your account id, your organisation id, a timestamp, and whether it came from the web app or the iOS app. It never contains document contents, file names, or anything you typed.
When you post on the feedback board
If you post a request on the feedback board, or upvote one, it is shared with every organisation that uses ElevatorIQ. Other users see the title and detail you wrote and your first name and last initial. They never see your full name, your email address, or the name of your organisation.
Everyone can see how many votes a request has. Nobody can see who voted.
The Terms of Service set out the licence you grant us over what you post.
Who handles your data
We use three vendors to run ElevatorIQ. Each one only sees the data it needs to do its job.
- Vercel hosts the website you're reading and routes web traffic to it. Vercel sees the request that loaded this page; it does not see your waitlist record. Vercel also provides our cookieless web analytics — anonymous, aggregated traffic counts that tell us which pages get visited, from what kind of device, and in what region. It sets no cookies and stores no IP address; visitors are counted using a temporary hash that is discarded within a day, so it cannot identify you.
- Supabase runs the database where your waitlist email and, once you're in the beta, your product usage records live. Only our server code, using a secret service key, can write to or read those tables — even our own browser-facing code can't.
- Loops.so handles outbound email — the confirmation email you got, the welcome email when you're in, and the monthly build-progress update.
We don't share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist record until you're either invited to the beta and accept, or you ask us to delete it. If you neither confirm your email nor reply when invited, we delete your record after 12 months.
Usage records are deleted automatically 12 months after they are recorded. A scheduled job inside the database runs every day and drops the records that have aged past that line, so the deletion happens on its own rather than when someone remembers to run it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what we have on file.
- Delete your record.
- Delete your usage records. Deleting your organisation deletes its usage records with it.
- Stop sending you email.
Email privacy@elevatoriq.app with any of those requests. We'll act on it within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
